1. Monocular eye piece with a mechanical tube length 160 mm. Body inclinable through 90 degrees and fixed to a solid base.

2. Stage - Fixed plain square stage 110 x 110 mm with two stage clips. Fixed Abbe condenser and iris-diaphragm fitted under the stage. Designed to accept a mechanical stage.

Nose piece - Triple revolving nosepiece for quick change of magnification with accurate click stops for perfect parfocal alignment.

3. Focusing - Rack and pinion mechanism of for coarse focusing and worm and gear for fine focusing.

A dissecting microscope used by by biology students for fine dissection work or close study of small organisms. The high eye point lenses are mounted on a jointed arm which can scan the whole stage area. The wide glass stage has two spring clips and a reversible sub-stage mirror/opal face illuminator giving good lighting to objects from natural or artificial lighting. The rack and pinion mechanism is enclosed within the stage support pillar and operated by a knob on either side of the pinion spindle. Detachable rests on either side of the stage provide steadying support for hands during fine dissection work.
